While WooCommerce includes some of the best core review options out of any eCommerce plugin, these review options are still quite basic when compared to leading eCommerce retailers. WooCommerce Product Reviews Pro enables you to add the review features and capabilities that your customers expect.

Transform your product reviews into an engaging product discussion that fosters community and customer loyalty to your brand!

WooCommerce Product Review Pro adds these features to your WooCommerce website

    Question

Hello. I’m interested in your plugin but would like to run tests with a single site version before upgrading to apply to other sites. How much would the upgrade cost?

    • Beka Rice

Hey there Alexandre, you can indeed start with a one-site subscription — upgrading only charges the difference in price for a multi-site subscription.

    Question

I need to send review request emails. Can I link directly to the review form on a product page with a star rating automatically selected, so the user gets to the review form immediately?

    Example URLs:
    https://www.domain.com/product/name/#reviews?review_rating=5
    or
    https://www.domain.com/product/name/#share-review?review_rating=5

    • Beka Rice

Hi James, you could automatically link to the form using the #reviews anchor (try this URL), but automatically starting to pre-fill a form isn’t possible unless you have some custom javascript to do this when the page loads (in this case, selecting a star rating).

  3. Davina

    Question

One of the features is that you can allow only “verified customers” to post a review. How does the plugin verify this? Does it only allow customers who are signed in to leave a review? My website does not allow users to sign in, so … am I out of luck if I want this verified feature?

It would be very elegant if the plugin could send a reminder email to the customer after X amount of days after purchasing, and then allow the customer to write their review by replying to the email. That would take care of the “verified review” business.

Also, a bit disappointed that questions are included as part of the reviews instead of getting their own dedicated tab.

    • Beka Rice

Hey Davina, verified reviews are part of WooCommerce core, which checks this by email address to see if reviewer email matches an order billing email that’s purchased the product — as such, this shouldn’t require sign, just a matching email.

It would be very elegant if the plugin could send a reminder email to the customer after X amount of days after purchasing…

I’m afraid this isn’t on our roadmap for the plugin, as scheduling future events (like scheduled emails) breaks down at scale with the built-in WordPress schedulers. Doing this correctly requires a dedicated scheduling handler to be built in, which we don’t plan to do for 1 email. I’d recommend checking out “Follow Up Emails” or “AutomateWoo”, either of which would handle this.

a bit disappointed that questions are included as part of the reviews instead of getting their own dedicated tab…

This one is on our idea board, so I’ve added your vote ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for the feedback!

Hi, is it possible with this plugin to auto send review requests to my customers after a purchase?

Hey Julien, I’m afraid this isn’t something Product Reviews Pro does at this time — I recommend AutomateWoo for scheduled emails like this. Cheers!

  5. Kevin

    Question

Hi there, I purchased your plugin but I’m not able to restrict it one review per customer. I do not want my customers to be able to leave multiple reviews for the same product. I can’t figure out how to disable this. Can you please help? Thanks so much for your help

    • Beka Rice

Hey Kevin, I’m afraid that limiting reviews per customer isn’t something we have available right now. Sorry I don’t have better news for you here!

The way we plan to address this is to force updating a review / comment if the customer has already left one rather than letting them add a new one, but this won’t be available until later in the year (we plan to do the feature release for this plugin around June or so).

    Is the plugin translation ready?

    • Lasse

Is the plugin relying on WordPress’ commenting system – and storing reviews in wp_comments? We’ve had issues with that with other plugins and find it less-than-ideal (that’s an understatement).

      (0) (0)

Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction...

    • Beka Rice

Hey Lasse, it does store reviews as comments since that’s a natural fit for products, which are stored as posts. However, it stores them as unique comment types (review, photo, etc), so that they can easily and quickly be queried. Happy to answer further questions though — what issue were you running into with comments? It may be something we’ve handled already ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Olivier

    Question

Love the plugin but was very disappointed to see that the review thumbs up/thumbs down votes requires the user to be logged in…
99% of the people reading the reviews are not customers yet so they are not registered on the site – I unfortunately had to disable that feature on my live site because it does not work as users expect it – although having these votes would be a great data point (especially since it can make a helpful review ‘pop’ to the top). Any chance you’ll make this registration optional in a future version? Thanks.

Hey Olivier, I have an outline here as to why this is the case. I’m afraid we don’t have plans to change this within the core plugin.

    Question

I have purchased The Product Reviews Pro here it seems pretty cool. The only thing I can’t get it to let me add more than one photo in the review or photos section. Is there a way to set that up so the customer can review and leave 4-5 photos instead of just the 1?

    • M Wagner

I second Tony G’s request for this plugin to support more than 1 photo. For example, on my site(s) many customers like to provide “Before and After” photos which really enhance the value of the reviews.

Hello! I’d like to buy it, but I’m afraid my theme won’t have the styles set for the review pro. Wich template file will I have to change in this case?
Also, Is there a way to set de size of the image the will appear on the frontend after the upload? Is there any way to hide the comments?
      Thank you very much!

    • Beka Rice

All plugins are backed by a 30 day refund policy via WooThemes if it won’t work for your theme ๐Ÿ™‚ With that said, we do include our own templates for reviews so there shouldn’t be an issue. If you’d like to submit the questions about image size / etc in the help desk after purchasing, we can get you squared away!

hey JW, I’m afraid that the plugin doesn’t change where the reviews are shown, as they’re integrated as part of the product page by WooCommerce. If you wanted to show reviews for a particular product on a different page, you could do so with custom code, but plugin itself doesn’t support moving them outside of the reviews / discussion tab. Cheers!
