    Question

Does this support the ability to charge a previously saved card for an order manually created by an admin?

    • Beka Rice

Hey Mitch, since WooCommerce core doesn’t really support forcing a payment / transaction for manually created orders, this isn’t something we’ve tackled in our plugins. The best way to do this at present would be to use the User Switching plugin to process the transaction as the customer, using the saved card in the account.

Hi there, please update CIM to version 2.4.0, and submit a help request here — we’d be happy to have a deeper look if the update doesn’t solve it!

    • Kris Chislett

Does this allow cards/bank info to be captured into the Authorize.net Customer Information Manager dashboard, and then charged at a later date e.g. for holding accounts on file and having us charge them at a later date (with proper authorization, of course).

    • Beka Rice

Hey Kris, this information can indeed be saved, and will be tokenized for later transactions if needed. However, the customer is presented with the choice to securely save information at checkout. If you needed this information for every purchaser, you’d need to tweak this to force tokenization — we’d be happy to point you in the right direction via the Woo help desk if you end up purchasing.

Hey ravi, this is not a template so you can’t override the file like this. If you’d like to submit a ticket with what you’re trying to do we’d be happy to point you in the right direction 🙂

  4. Cliff Kujala

    Question

With the upcoming update, will it be possible for Admins and Shop Managers to pay orders via Authorize.net when creating/modifying orders via the WooCommerce Orders Backend Area? Not being able to process payments directly inside the admin is a huge missing feature of WooCommerce. This is totally normal over in Magento land, including the ability to use saved Authorize.net CIM methods for the payments (and save new cards to the customers profile directly from the admin orders page).

    • Max Rice

Hey Cliff, WooCommerce itself doesn’t have any way for payment gateways to integrate with the manual order creation yet, though I think it’d definitely be a really useful feature to have. Once WooCommerce adds it, we’ll absolutely look to support it.

  5. Gonzalo Escribano

    Question

Hi there, I’d need a couple of features added. I’ve purchased this plugin but I really need 2 things in order to be able to use it:
    – Automatic refunds
    – automatically triggering the order in wordpress to change status from “on hold” to “processing” after payment has settled successfully in Authorize.net. This typically occurs when a customer’s card charge is “pending review” in authorize.net, typically because they entered the wrong billing zip code. We have to manually approve this charge in the unsettled transaction section of authorize.net. However, once settled, it does not update in wordpress

    Thanks in advance.
    Gonzalo

    • Beka Rice

Hey Gonzalo, we have a rewrite due out in a few weeks that adds refund support 🙂 you’ll also be able to capture charges from WooCommerce as part of this update, so the second part probably won’t be needed — you can capture the order from within WooCommerce instead of using Authorize.net.

Have you added the refund functionality to this one yet?

    • Cliff Kujala

Beka. This is what I am referring to. https://www.authorize.net/support/CP/helpfiles/Account/Settings/Partial_Authorization.htm
If Partial Authorizations is enabled on the Authorize.net side, their system will grab as much of the needed amount as possible (especially in the case of pre-paid VISA-MC debit/gift cards). Then their system will return back to the shopping cart how much it was able to authorize. If not all, then using the response, your payment gateway should then inform the customer $XX.XX is still due, at which point the customer can add an additional payment card to cover the balance. This happens for instance at a retail store when you use a pre-paid gift card, and then the cashier tells you you still owe $XX.XX after that card was exhausted.

      PS
Am I just missing the emails, or is there no notice that a response has been received here on these threads?

Hi Max. OK fantastic. Can I also ask if/how the updated plugin will work with Partial Authorizations?

    • Beka Rice

Hey Cliff, not sure what you mean by partial authorizations here. Do you mean a partial payment? If so, you’d need something like the new deposits extension, as Authorize.net won’t let you capture some of the payment, then the rest later.

Hello Max. Also, in addition to Refund, do you also plan to add Capture capability from the WooCommerce admin? Would be much nicer then logging into Authorize.net to perform captures after the order has shipped. I see this is already a part of your Authorize.net AIM plugin.

I don’t know what I would do without Woo. I specialize in sales, but have been able to build a very good website with their products and service. I doubt if I could have had a better website or more control if I hired a developer.
