When we released Teams for Memberships, we knew that there was a need to sell membership access to large organizations. Since then, we’ve heard from many merchants who sell team memberships to all sorts of groups where the term “team” doesn’t quite apply, such as schools, families, clubs, and companies—just to name a few!

To make sure that your group memberships match your site’s brand and your membership target audience, we’ve introduced a setting that lets you change the Teams for Memberships nouns from “team” and “teams” to whatever works best for you.

Let’s look at how to set that up:

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Memberships > Teams.
  2. Update the Teams are called fields with the singular and plural terms you’d like to use (e.g., “club” and “clubs”, “family” and “families”, etc.).
  3. Click Save changes.
The "Teams are called" setting in the Teams for Memberships plugin settings.

That’s it! You’ll now see the former “team” and “teams” nouns replaced with your updates across the site frontend:

View of the member area, illustrating two places where "club" was renamed "clubs".

Note: If you’re happy with the current naming, no worries! The plugin will still default to using “team” and “teams”.
